Disabled Travelers Have Access To The World

Should those with disabilities sit in front of the TV and watch travelogues, or pack up, and hit the road?  For Candy Harrington, an expert on accessible travel, the answer is simple:  Turn off the TV and see the world with your own eyes and not those of narrators and filmmakers.

After spending several years as a travel writer, Candy changed the focus of her work to helping those who might have felt that they were stuck at home find ways to get out of the house and join more able-bodied travelers on vacation.  She is a regular contributor to many publications and writes her own travel blog, Barrier Free Travels (www.BarrierFreeTravels.com).  Her books include 101 Accessible Vacations and There Is Room at the Inn.
